Baku: Azerbaijan's manat is expected to remain stable until 2030, APA-Economics reports, citing the Economist Intelligence Unit (EIU), the research and analysis division of The Economist Group.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the forecast for 2024-2029 suggests that the USD/AZN exchange rate will stay at 1.70. The euro, however, is projected to weaken slightly against the manat, with the EUR/AZN rate expected to be 1.77 this year, dropping to 1.75 in 2026, and 1.73 in 2027, while remaining steady through 2028-2029.
The EIU noted that maintaining a stable exchange rate aligns with the Central Bank's policy, and no major fluctuations in the manat's value are expected in the coming years.
