Azerbaijan’s Middle Power Status Attributed to Long-Term Strategy

Baku: Azerbaijan's attainment of middle power status is the result of a long-term process, Chairman of the Board of the Center of Analysis of International Relations (AIR Center) Farid Shafiyev stated during the presentation of the "Report on the Peacekeeping Operations of the Azerbaijan Army."

According to Azeri-Press News Agency,Farid Shafiyev emphasized that Azerbaijan's economic strength has significantly increased over the past 30 years, bolstering its position in the international arena. He highlighted that despite Azerbaijan's relatively recent entry into the United Nations, the country has consistently shown an active role in contributing to international security.

Shafiyev pointed out that the foundation of Azerbaijan's policy in international security contributions was laid by National Leader Heydar Aliyev, and this policy is being effectively maintained today. He also mentioned that the presented study will serve as an academic and practical resource in higher education institutions and other fields.
