Azerbaijan’s Minister of Youth and Sports Farid Gayibov has met with sports media representatives at the National Gymnastics Arena in Baku.

The meeting, held as part of the Week of Sport, brought together a total of 33 media representatives from local 10 TV channels, 4 agencies, 14 news portals and 2 newspapers.

Describing the sports journalism as an integral part of sports community, the minister highlighted that “there is a need for Azerbaijan`s sports media to expand its cooperation with federations and other sports organizations in terms of sports promotion and media development”.

The focus of discussions were challenges of sports journalism and the ways to develop this sphere in the country.
