Baku: A delegation led by Yagub Piriyev, Rector of Baku Engineering University (BEU), visited the Ministry of Defense Industry of Azerbaijan to explore collaborative opportunities.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, the meeting involved discussions with Hidayat Azimov, Deputy Minister of Defense Industry, where comprehensive information was shared about BEU's teaching and research capabilities, the university's Technopark, and future endeavors in the defense industry sector. The focus was on human capital development for 2025-2030 and new projects set for 2026, aiming to strengthen the defense industry ecosystem through university-industry-government cooperation.

The discussions also highlighted the successful implementation of the "DefAge Bootcamp" project in 2025. Emphasis was placed on establishing a research and development-based, knowledge-intensive ecosystem to ensure sustainable development in the defense sector.

Both parties exchanged views on enhancing joint activities and ensuring their continuity, agreeing to hold regular meetings. The BEU Rector also took part in events marking the professional holiday of the Ministry of Defense Industry employees and the ministry's 20th anniversary.
