Azerbaijan’s Nakhchivan Saves 130,000 Cubic Meters of Natural Gas in a Day

NAKCHIVAN: Azerbaijan’s autonomous region of Nakhchivan achieved significant energy savings by conserving approximately 130,000 cubic meters of natural gas in a single day, while fully meeting its electricity demands through green energy sources.

According to Trend News Agency, the State Energy Service of Nakhchivan reported these energy savings and highlighted the environmental impact. “About 130,000 cubic meters of natural gas were saved, and carbon emissions fell to zero that day,” stated the report. This initiative is part of a broader effort to enhance energy efficiency and promote environmental sustainability in the region.

Moreover, the report also emphasized that on October 11, the total electricity demand, amounting to 947,508 kV/h, was entirely supplied by renewable energy sources. This achievement underscores Nakhchivan’s commitment to reducing its reliance on fossil fuels and its transition towards sustainable energy practices.
