Baku: Azerbaijan’s net financial assets saw an increase of $4.5 billion in the first nine months of 2025.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, this growth was primarily driven by direct investments made abroad amounting to $1 billion, portfolio investments of $1.3 billion, and other investments totaling $2.2 billion.
During the same period, Azerbaijan’s net financial liabilities also experienced a rise of $415.9 million. This increase was attributed to direct investments attracted from abroad, which decreased by $305.2 million, an oil bonus contribution of $450.2 million, a decrease in portfolio investments by $33.7 million, and an increase in other investments by $304.6 million.
