Baku: Azerbaijan’s Economy Minister, Mikayil Jabbarov, announced a significant increase in the country’s non-oil-and-gas revenues, which have risen 2.2 times since 2018. This statement was made during a session of the Milli Majlis as discussions were underway regarding the draft law ‘On the State Budget of the Republic of Azerbaijan for 2026.’

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, Minister Jabbarov highlighted that the approved state budget revenues for 2025 have shown a 1.7-fold increase compared to 2018. Specifically, non-oil-and-gas revenues have seen a 2.2-fold rise. The Minister further elaborated that non-oil-and-gas tax revenues have surged 2.3 times during this period. The proportion of non-oil-and-gas revenues in the state budget has grown from 40.5% in 2018 to 52% in the approved budget for 2025, with projections for this figure to reach 57% in the 2026 budget draft.
