Azerbaijan’s Non-Oil and Gas Sector Sees Increased GDP Contribution

Baku: Azerbaijan’s non-oil and gas sector has shown a notable increase in its contribution to the country’s gross domestic product (GDP) for the period of January to August 2025. The nation’s GDP production reached 83 billion 37.8 million manats, reflecting a 1 percent rise compared to the same timeframe in the previous year.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the State Statistical Committee reported that the GDP output from the non-oil and gas sector was 57 billion 648.3 million manats. This sector’s share in the GDP structure was 69.4%, marking an increase of 3.8 percentage points from the previous year’s 65.6% during the same period.

The updated forecasts predict that by the end of the current year, Azerbaijan’s real GDP growth is expected to be 3 percent, achieving a nominal value of 129.9 billion manats. This includes projections for non-oil GDP to reach 93.5 billion manats.
