Baku: Azerbaijan experienced a 9 percent increase in its non-oil exports in January 2026, totaling $268.4 million, compared to the same period in 2025.
According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, the February edition of the 'Export Review' magazine by the Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication highlighted this growth.
The report detailed a significant rise in food product exports, which surged by 22.6 percent to reach $103 million. Additionally, the export of specific products showed notable increases over the previous year: sugar exports soared by 169.3 percent, cotton yarn by 137.6 percent, vegetable and animal fats and oils by 90.8 percent, aluminum and related products by 39.5 percent, fruits and vegetables by 32.1 percent, cotton fiber by 23.2 percent, tea by 20.9 percent, and alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages by 14.2 percent.
Agricultural products exports also saw a significant rise, increasing by 32.6 percent to $85.7 million. Agro-industrial products accounted for $21.9 million of the exports. Combined, the total exports of agricultural and agro-industrial products rose by 23.8 percent, reaching $107.6 million.
