Baku: Azerbaijan's population grew by 9,287 people, or 0.1%, in the first five months of 2026, bringing the total to 10,271,638 as of June 1, 2026. According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, the State Statistical Committee reported this growth.

The data reveals that 54.3% of Azerbaijan's population resides in urban areas, while 45.7% live in rural settlements. In terms of gender distribution, 49.8% of the population are men, and 50.2% are women.
