Azerbaijan’s President Celebrates Tajikistan’s Independence Day, Highlights Strengthened Bilateral Ties

BAKU—In a heartfelt message, the President of Azerbaijan congratulated his Tajik counterpart, Emomali Rahmon, on Tajikistan’s Independence Day, praising the considerable socio-economic progress under Rahmon’s leadership.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, the Azerbaijani President lauded the deep historical and cultural connections between the two nations, emphasizing the solid foundation of brotherhood, mutual trust, and support that defines their relationship. The message highlighted the significant milestones achieved during Rahmon’s state visit to Azerbaijan earlier this year, which marked a new chapter in Azerbaijani-Tajik relations, elevating them to a strategic partnership level.

The Azerbaijani leader expressed confidence that the agreements reached during mutual visits would further enrich bilateral relations, strengthen solidarity, and promote the sustainable development and prosperity of both nations and the region. “Dear Emomali Sharifovich, on this festive day, I wish you good health, happiness, and success in your endeavors, and to the brotherly people of Tajikistan, lasting peace, well-being, and prosperity,” he concluded.
