Azerbaijan’s President Extends Warm Congratulations to Malta on Independence Anniversary


BAKU, Azerbaijan — In a heartfelt diplomatic gesture, President Ilham Aliyev of Azerbaijan has sent a congratulatory letter to the President of Malta, Myriam Spiteri Debono, marking the 60th anniversary of Malta’s independence.



According to Trend News Agency, President Aliyev expressed his warm congratulations on behalf of himself and the Azerbaijani people, noting the significant milestone. “Dear Madam President, on my own behalf and on behalf of the people of Azerbaijan, I cordially congratulate and convey my best wishes to you and through you, your entire people on the occasion of the 60th anniversary of the Independence Day of the Republic of Malta,” the letter stated.



President Aliyev highlighted the potential for strengthening the friendly relations and cooperation between the two nations, especially as they approach the 30th anniversary of their diplomatic ties next year. He expressed confidence that through combined efforts, the relationship between Azerbaijan and Malta will continue to develop and expand, benefiting both nations within and beyond the framework of the European Union.
