KAZAN: The President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, has been awarded Tatarstan’s highest state honor, the Order of “Friendship.” The award was conferred during a meeting in Kazan with Rustam Minnikhanov, the Rais of the Republic of Tatarstan, marking a significant diplomatic gesture between the two regions.

According to Azeri-Press news agency, the decree awarding President Aliyev the Order of “Friendship” was formally announced during his official visit to Tatarstan, a republic of the Russian Federation. The accolade is recognized as a symbol of strong bilateral relations and mutual cooperation between Azerbaijan and Tatarstan.
