Azerbaijan’s Prosecutor General Engages in High-Level Meetings in Doha

Doha: During his visit to Doha, Azerbaijan’s Prosecutor General Kamran Aliyev held a series of bilateral meetings with counterparts from various countries and international organizations.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, Aliyev met with Issa bin Saad Al Nuaimi, Attorney General of the State of Qatar. Al Nuaimi emphasized that the cooperation between the prosecutorial authorities reflects the friendly relations established between the political leaderships of the two countries. He also expressed appreciation for the hospitality extended during his previous visit to Azerbaijan.

Kamran Aliyev also held a meeting with Hamad bin Nasser Al-Misnad, President of the Administrative Control and Transparency Authority of Qatar. Aliyev congratulated Al-Misnad on his election as Chairman of the Eleventh Session of the Conference of the States Parties to the UN Convention against Corruption. He highlighted the growing cooperation between Azerbaijani and Qatari authorities.

Additionally, Prosecutor General Aliyev engaged in discussions with John Brandolino, Acting Executive Director of the UN Office on Drugs and Crime. The talks focused on joint projects and strengthening cooperation between their offices.

Other bilateral meetings included discussions with Amin Hossein Rahimi, Iran’s Minister of Justice; Linas Pernavas, Director of Lithuania’s Special Investigation Service; Lino Anguzu, Director of Public Prosecutions of Uganda; and Alexandru Machidon, Prosecutor General of Moldova.
