Azerbaijan’s Prosecutor General Visits China to Enhance Legal Cooperation

Shanghai: An Azerbaijani delegation led by Prosecutor General Kamran Aliyev paid a working visit to Shanghai at the invitation of Ying Yong, Chief Grand Prosecutor and Prosecutor General of the Supreme People's Procuratorate (SPP) of the People's Republic of China, APA reports.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the Azerbaijani delegation met with the Prosecutor General of the SPP of the People's Republic of China. Ying Yong described Azerbaijan and China as strategic partners and highlighted the ongoing cooperation across multiple areas. He emphasized the development of the partnership between Azerbaijan's Prosecutor General's Office and the Supreme People's Procuratorate of the People's Republic of China.

Kamran Aliyev highlighted China's support for Azerbaijan's political initiatives within different international platforms over the years. He noted that mutual relations between the countries have developed positively due to the political will and efforts of the heads of state, reaching the level of strategic partnership.

The sides exchanged views on the fight against various forms of crime, practical cooperation, and prospects for enhancing legal and institutional cooperation. They reached an agreement on involving Azerbaijani prosecutors in training courses at Chinese higher education institutions. Kamran Aliyev also extended an invitation to his counterpart to visit Azerbaijan to further enhance relations.
