Azerbaijan’s SOCAR and Italy’s Technip Energies Forge New Partnership

Baku: Rovshan Najaf, President of the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR), met with Carlo Corsi, CEO of Technip Energies Italy S.p.A., to discuss and enhance the partnership between the two companies.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, the meeting underscored the successful collaboration that SOCAR and Technip Energies have enjoyed over the years, with both parties expressing a keen interest in exploring new areas for expanding their mutually beneficial relationship.

The discussions focused on potential cooperation in introducing highly flexible feedstock solutions within the petrochemical sector. The parties also deliberated on ways to boost productivity and improve energy efficiency. Additionally, the meeting highlighted the potential involvement of Technip Energies Italy S.p.A. in SOCAR's international projects, alongside exploring opportunities for collaboration in green energy and decarbonization initiatives.

A significant outcome of the meeting was the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between SOCAR and Technip Energies Italy S.p.A. This document aims to identify potential areas of cooperation, particularly within the framework of the Petkim Master Plan project.
