Cairo: A delegation from Azerbaijan, led by Ramin Mammadov, Chairman of the State Committee on Affairs with Religious Associations, attended the 36th International Conference of the Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs in Cairo, Egypt. The event, held on January 19-20, focused on 'Professions in Islam: Their Ethics, Impact, and Future in the Age of Artificial Intelligence.'

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, the conference aimed to develop unified strategies to counter extremist ideologies, emphasize the role of religious tolerance in promoting social stability, and explore the use of digital tools in modern propaganda. The primary objective was to find ways to integrate artificial intelligence with Islamic values.

During the conference, Ramin Mammadov highlighted a meeting with Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, noting the deep-rooted historical, cultural, and religious ties between Azerbaijan and Egypt. He also discussed Azerbaijan's environment of tolerance and multiculturalism, citing the restoration of mosques, churches, and synagogues, along with the construction of new temples across the country.
