Azerbaijan’s Trade Turnover Drops by 30% in Early 2025

Baku: Azerbaijan's foreign trade turnover experienced a significant decrease in the first two months of 2025, amounting to $6 billion 264 million. This marks a decline of 29.7% when compared to the same period in 2024.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the State Customs Committee reported that both exports and imports saw substantial reductions. Exports fell by 23.1%, totaling $3 billion 665 million, while imports dropped by 37.2%, amounting to $2 billion 599 million. Despite the decrease in trade turnover, last year saw the positive balance of foreign trade increase by 69.7%, reaching $1 billion 65.7 million.
