Tbilisi: Azerbaijan’s trade turnover with Georgia in the first five months of 2025 amounted to $330 million, marking a 20 percent increase over the same period last year, Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov announced at a joint press conference with his Georgian counterpart Maka Bochorishvili, APA’s Tbilisi correspondent reports. The minister expressed optimism that this growth will persist throughout the remainder of the year.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, Bayramov highlighted Azerbaijan’s significant role in the Georgian economy, both at the state and company levels. He emphasized that Azerbaijan is one of Georgia’s principal investors, having invested a total of $3.6 billion in the country to date.

Bayramov also noted that discussions during the meeting included the Black Sea submarine power project. He mentioned that several Central Asian countries, particularly Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan, have shown interest in joining the initiative, and efforts are underway to advance this collaboration.
