Azerbaijan’s Trade Turnover with Italy Declines Over 20%

Baku: Azerbaijan's trade turnover with Italy has decreased by more than 20%, the State Customs Committee reported to APA-Economics. Trade operations between the two countries amounted to 1 billion 813 million 454 thousand US dollars in January-February of this year.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, this figure represents a 20.41% decline compared to the same period last year. In the first two months of the year, trade turnover with Italy accounted for 28.95% of Azerbaijan's total trade operations.

During the reporting period, Azerbaijan exported products worth 1 billion 732 million 161 thousand US dollars to Italy, marking a 21.44% annual decrease. These exports constituted 47.26% of the country's total exports.

In contrast, products worth 81 million 292 thousand US dollars were imported to Azerbaijan from Italy, showing a 10.57% increase year-on-year. Imports from Italy accounted for 3.13% of the country's total imports during this period.
