Baku: Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan have witnessed a significant surge in trade operations between January and October this year, with transactions amounting to 472 million 548 thousand US dollars.

According to Azeri-Press news agency, this trade turnover is 2.4 times greater compared to the same period in the previous year.

The trade relationship with Uzbekistan constituted 2.42% of Azerbaijan’s total trade turnover during the ten-month period. Azerbaijan exported products worth 60 million 988 thousand US dollars to Uzbekistan, marking a 93.9% increase compared to last year. These exports represented 0.28% of Azerbaijan’s total exports.

On the import front, Azerbaijan brought in goods valued at 411 million 559 thousand US dollars from Uzbekistan, reflecting a 2.5-fold annual increase. Imports from Uzbekistan accounted for 2.14% of Azerbaijan’s total imports during the same period.
