Baku: On June 1, International Children's Day, 'Azercell Volunteers' organized an educational and entertaining program for children residing at Children's Home No. 1, a social service institution operating under the Social Services Agency of the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of Population of the Republic of Azerbaijan. This initiative aimed to provide the children with a day filled with both learning and fun.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, the Azercell Volunteers' team focused their efforts on an educational program that emphasized safety awareness and responsible behavior. The goal was not only to create a memorable holiday experience but also to impart practical knowledge and skills that can aid children in safely navigating everyday situations.

Children aged 9 to 15 participated in an interactive training session on the basics of civil defense and personal safety. During this session, they learned about potential risks in daily life and received guidance on responding effectively to emergencies, ensuring their own safety through essential measures.

A significant component of the program was the "Safety as Seen by Children" drawing competition. This activity allowed participants to express their understanding of safety through art, blending learning with creativity to reinforce key messages in an engaging manner.

At the end of the program, children were presented with commemorative gifts to celebrate International Children's Day, marking a successful conclusion to the initiative.

The 'Azercell Volunteers' initiative, active since 2001, continues to support socially vulnerable groups and contribute to the development of children and young people through its educational, social, and community-focused projects.
