Azercosmos Experiences Over 12% Drop in Export Revenues

Baku: In the first four months of 2025, the Azerbaijan Space Agency, known as Azercosmos, reported a significant decrease in its export revenues from satellite telecommunication services, totaling 5.6 million USD across 40 countries.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, this figure marks a 12.5% decline compared to the same period in the previous year. The income generated from these service exports comprised 65% of Azercosmos’ total revenue during this timeframe. In April 2025 alone, Azercosmos exported services valued at 1.6 million USD to 38 countries.

Throughout the reporting period, the leading countries in terms of satellite telecommunication service exports included the United Kingdom with 1.5 million USD, Luxembourg with 1.2 million USD, followed by Nigeria at 255,000 USD, Egypt at 238.6 thousand USD, and Trkiye at 238.5 thousand USD.
