‘AzerGold’ CJSC’s Sales Revenue Sees 18% Growth in First Quarter

Baku: 'AzerGold' CJSC, a prominent state-owned entity in Azerbaijan's non-oil and gas sector, has reported a total sales revenue increase of 18% in the first quarter of this year, contributing 102.4 million AZN to the national economy. This was achieved through the sale of 12,284 ounces of gold and 22,053 ounces of silver in both international and local markets.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, 'AzerGold' CJSC generated over 91.1 million AZN from export operations and more than 11.3 million AZN from local retail sales during this period. The export revenue saw a 26% increase from the previous year's 72.5 million AZN, while retail sales revenue more than doubled from 5.6 million AZN, marking a 102% surge.

Since its inception, the company has sold a total of 572.3 thousand ounces of gold and 1.1 million ounces of silver, amassing 2.04 billion AZN for the national economy. 'AzerGold' CJSC has also contributed 281 million AZN to the state budget, with 242 million AZN from taxes and 39 million AZN from social security payments. The company ranked 20th among the top 100 taxpayers based on the 2025 rankings, excluding indirect taxes like VAT and excise.

In addition to financial contributions, 'AzerGold' CJSC has been instrumental in expanding employment within its operational regions. As of the last quarter, the company employed 1,152 individuals directly, and its activities have ensured permanent jobs for 2,595 people in the Ganja-Dashkasan economic region, including those from contractor organizations.

Through its robust financial performance, growth in export and sales, substantial budget contributions, and employment initiatives, 'AzerGold' CJSC continues to play a crucial role in the socio-economic development of Azerbaijan.
