Bakhtiyar Aslanbayli and Nargiz Hajiyeva Receive Prestigious UK Honorary Awards

Baku: Two Azerbaijani citizens, Bakhtiyar Aslanbayli and Nargiz Hajiyeva, have become the first Azerbaijanis to receive prestigious honorary awards from the United Kingdom.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, Bakhtiyar Aslanbayli, bp's Vice President for the Caspian region, Communications and External Affairs, is recognized for his services to the development of UK-Azerbaijan relations, particularly for his role at bp in fostering positive economic, social, and cultural impact in Azerbaijan.

Nargiz Hajiyeva, Country Director of the British Council Azerbaijan, is honored for her contributions to the field of education and the strengthening of UK-Azerbaijan relations. Her work at the British Council has made a significant contribution to creating educational and exchange opportunities that will benefit both countries for generations.

These honors, approved by King Charles III, recognize exceptional achievements and services to public life. Historically, such awards have been granted to prominent figures ranging from political leaders like Winston Churchill to cultural icons like David Beckham and Adele.
