Baku: Azerbaijan’s Deputy Minister of Defense, Army General Bakhtiyar Ersay, has left his position in Azerbaijan in connection with the assumption of a new post, APA reports. He was relieved of his duties at the Azerbaijan Ministry of Defense by decree of the President of Trkiye.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, by a decree of President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, Azerbaijan’s Deputy Minister of Defense, Army General Bakhtiyar Ersay, was appointed Commander of the First Army of the Turkish Land Forces. He began performing his duties some time ago.
Bakhtiyar Ersay had previously served as Commander of Trkiye’s Service Group in Azerbaijan since 2021 and was appointed Deputy Minister of Defense of Azerbaijan in 2022.
