Baku 2025 Operational-Tactical Exercise Conducted at Baku International Sea Port

Baku: The Baku 2025 operational-tactical exercise, focused on “Organization of interaction with state bodies in the field of prevention and elimination of emergency situations,” was successfully held at the Baku International Sea Port in the Alat settlement of the Garadagh district. This exercise was organized by the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the drill was attended by Minister of Emergency Situations Colonel-General Kamaladdin Heydarov, alongside high-ranking representatives of emergency response agencies from member states of the International Civil Defence Organization. Officials from various Azerbaijani ministries and agencies, including the Ministry of Defense, Ministry of Internal Affairs, Ministry of Digital Development and Transport, and several others, were also present.

The exercise aimed to test the joint operational mechanisms of rescue forces and equipment during large-scale emergencies. It focused on assessing their real capabilities, improving the management system, enhancing the operational readiness of command units, conducting rescue and other urgent operations, and ensuring effective interagency coordination and comprehensive support.

In total, the exercise involved 1,250 personnel, 8 helicopters, 277 specialized vehicles, and 14 specially trained dogs from various ministries and agencies, including Defense, Internal Affairs, and Digital Development and Transport, as well as the State Agency for the Protection of Strategic Facilities, State Reserves Agency, ANAMA, TABIB, AZCON, SOCAR, and bp. The exercise was deemed a success, with all set objectives achieved.
