Baku: A meeting was held at the Baku International Sea Port between Rovshan Rustamov, Chairman of Azerbaijan Railways CJSC (ADY), a company within AZCON Holding, and Nokerguly Atagulyyev, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan. The meeting focused on enhancing regional transportation collaboration between the ports of Baku and Turkmenbashi.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, the Turkmen delegation received comprehensive information about the Port of Baku. This included the port's integration into ADY and its role in multimodal transportation along the Middle Corridor. It was reported that last year, the port managed over 100,000 TEU containers due to Azerbaijan's investments in transport infrastructure.

During their discussions, the parties explored ways to improve infrastructure at the Turkmenbashi International Sea Port, such as seabed deepening and increasing cargo transportation through the port. The importance of digital data exchange was also emphasized to ensure coordinated operations between the railways and international seaports of both countries.

The discussions further included potential measures to expand cooperation in multimodal transport within the Middle Corridor and the Eurasian Transport Route. The sides also talked about increasing cargo flow in the East-West-East direction, highlighting a shared commitment to regional transportation development.
