Baku – The 40th anniversary of the independence of the Republic of Northern Cyprus was commemorated in Baku.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the event featured a speech by Ufuk Turganer, head of the Representation of Northern Cyprus in Azerbaijan, emphasizing the shared values of resistance against occupation and slavery between Azerbaijan and Northern Cyprus. Samad Seyidov, chairman of the international relations and inter-parliamentary relations committee of the Milli Majlis, also addressed the gathering, highlighting the extensive relations between Azerbaijan and the Republic of Northern Cyprus.
