Baku: Baku Engineering University (BEU) has achieved its highest student admission levels for the bachelor's program in the 2026-2027 academic year, marking a significant milestone in its development as a competitive higher education institution.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, the university's strategic initiatives over recent years, including quality education, adherence to international standards, and the creation of a robust educational and research infrastructure, have been instrumental in this success. BEU's focus on innovation, internationalization, dual-degree programs, digital teaching, modern laboratories, research environments, and entrepreneurship initiatives have made it an appealing choice for prospective students.

The university's admission indicators have shown a consistent upward trend. In the 2023-2024 academic year, BEU admitted 1,177 students across 30 specialties. This number increased to 2,108 students across 36 specialties in the 2024-2025 academic year, and further to 2,468 students across 39 specialties in 2025-2026. For the 2026-2027 academic year, admissions have risen to 2,881 students across 41 specialties, representing a 145 percent increase over four years.

There has also been a rise in high-achieving applicants. In the 2023-2024 academic year, 176 applicants scored above 500 points. This number has more than doubled in the following years, with nearly 400 applicants scoring between 500 and 700 points this year. Preliminary results indicate that approximately 14 percent of admitted students scored above 500, while 2.6 percent scored above 600.

The admission plan was fully met for specialty groups II, III, and V, and reached 98.3 percent for specialty group I. Overall, the bachelor's level admissions reached 98.3 percent, the highest in the university's history, demonstrating BEU's growing reputation and the high demand for its programs.

This achievement highlights the increase in new specialties aligned with current labor market demands, the rise in student admissions, and the growing number of high-scoring students. The results confirm BEU's standing as a trusted institution, offering modern educational infrastructure, international partnerships, and programs integrated with labor market needs.
