Abu dhabi: A delegation of the Baku Engineering University (BEU) participated in the 18th World Future Energy Summit, organized by Masdar company as part of the Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, the summit is recognized as a significant platform in the global energy sector, attracting global experts, policymakers, and industry leaders in renewable energy, energy efficiency, climate change, smart technologies, and sustainable development. The event saw participation from over 50,000 attendees, including more than 450 leading companies, universities, and innovation centers.
The BEU delegation engaged with prominent international companies and organizations, discussing potential cooperation in scientific research, innovation, industry-university collaboration, and joint projects. They also showcased the university's strengths in education and research, along with its innovative projects.
Their participation in the summit allowed the delegation to gain insights into the latest innovations and advanced technologies in the global energy and sustainability sector. It also provided strategic opportunities for future international collaborations.
During their visit, the BEU delegation met with the Embassy of Azerbaijan in the UAE, exploring possibilities for cooperation in higher education, science, and innovation. They discussed prospects for student and academic exchanges between BEU and UAE universities, emphasizing the importance of strengthening educational and research ties between the two countries.
