Baku Engineering University Startup Triumphs in Global Innovation Program

Baku:The HOGGA startup, spearheaded by Yusif Yusifov, a Senior Lecturer at Baku Engineering University (BEU), alongside a team of the university's graduates, has clinched first place in the international innovation contest "Startup School 4 Five Continents - 500 Startups."

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, the final stage of the program, hosted in Baku, saw participation from 500 startups worldwide, with HOGGA emerging victorious due to its innovative technological solution, as judged by the competition jury.

The HOGGA team is composed of BEU "Information Security" graduates Gulchin Jumayeva, Sama Dostaliyeva, Mehriban Alizade, and Riyad Aghazade, who introduced a novel approach to business digitalization through their platform. HOGGA's platform leverages artificial intelligence to enable the creation of custom software tailored to business needs without the necessity for programming skills.

The platform is designed to simplify the digitalization process for small and medium-sized enterprises, making it faster and more accessible. Unlike traditional tools, HOGGA's AI acts as a business analyst rather than just a coder. Entrepreneurs can communicate their business requirements to the AI, which then analyzes the data and formulates a model. Subsequently, HOGGA's software generator constructs program code using pre-prepared components that adhere to object-oriented programming principles and have passed security validations.

This approach allows for the development of custom web, mobile, and desktop applications that align with specific business requirements. The HOGGA startup's success in this international arena highlights the ability of BEU's academic community to merge scientific knowledge with practical expertise, creating innovative solutions that address real-world business challenges.
