Baku: The second International Conference of Leading National Analytical Centers of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) took place in Baku, co-organized by the Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication (CAERC) and the Secretariat of the OTS. The event focused on exploring the economic cooperation and potential among OTS member states.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, CAERC Executive Director Vusal Gasimli emphasized the significance of trade and investment, logistics, the Middle Corridor, financial and export potential, digital transformation, and innovation as strategic priorities for the member states. OTS Secretary General Kubanychbek Omuraliev highlighted the combined population of 180 million in member and observer states, underscoring the importance of economic collaboration for mutual prosperity.

Deputy Speaker Musa Gasimli noted the unity reinforced by Turkic heads of state, citing common language, history, culture, and roots as unifying elements. Panel discussions at the conference addressed various topics, including the Middle Corridor's role in regional integration and infrastructure development, aiming to transform it into a key transport and economic backbone by 2040.

Another panel focused on enhancing trade and economic ties, discussing the potential for economic integration by 2040 through customs harmonization, reducing barriers, and fostering innovation-driven growth. Discussions also covered the Turkic Investment Fund, digital trade, and labor mobility.

The final panel centered on 'Innovation for Sustainable Development,' highlighting areas such as digital infrastructure, artificial intelligence, data governance, and investment in human capital. These sessions involved over 30 think tank leaders, scholars, and international experts from nearly 10 countries, aiming to foster research networks and evidence-based policymaking across the Turkic world.
