Baku Hosts Advisory Meeting with NATO Staff for 2026 Cooperation Programme

Baku: As part of the 2026 Individual Partnership Cooperation Programme (IPCP) between the Ministry of Defense of Azerbaijan and NATO, an advisory meeting has commenced in Baku, the Ministry of Defense reported.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, the meeting is a crucial component of NATO's Operational Capabilities Concept (OCC) Evaluation and Feedback Programme. The discussions focused on the planning and preparation of the OCC units' Self-Evaluation Level-1 (SEL-1) exercise, which is scheduled to take place in Azerbaijan in June 2026.

The main objective of the meeting was to clarify and approve evaluation questions designed to assess the combat training, logistical support, equipment readiness, and interoperability of the units with NATO standards. The meeting was attended by representatives from Azerbaijan's Ministry of Defense and international experts.
