Baku: An Advisory meeting is currently taking place in Baku as part of the 2026 Individual Partnership Cooperation Programme (IPCP) between the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Azerbaijan and NATO. The meeting focuses on the planning and preparation progress of the Self-Evaluation Level-1 (SEL-1) exercise for the Operational Capabilities Concept (OCC) units, which is scheduled to occur in Azerbaijan in June this year.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the Advisory meeting is a significant component of NATO's OCC Evaluation and Feedback Programme. Representatives from the Azerbaijan Ministry of Defense and foreign experts are participating in the meeting. The primary aim is to clarify and approve the evaluation questions developed to assess the combat training activities, support and equipment, and the level of interoperability with NATO standards of the units recently declared to the OCC programme.
