Baku Hosts Event on Jammu and Kashmir Issue

Baku: On August 5, the Embassy of Pakistan in Baku solemnly observed Youm-e-Istehsal Kashmir. The event served as a reminder of the continued suffering of the innocent Kashmiri people under Indian occupation in Jammu and Kashmir and reaffirmed Pakistan's unwavering solidarity with their just struggle for the realization of their right to self-determination.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, during the event, the messages of President of Pakistan, Asif Ali Zardari; Prime Minister, Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, and Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, Mohammad Ishaq Dar, were read out. In his address, Qasim Mohiuddin, Pakistani Ambassador to Azerbaijan, appreciated Azerbaijan's continued principled support on the issue of Jammu and Kashmir.

A photo exhibition highlighting the human rights situation in IIOJK also took place. The exhibition presented a visual portrayal of the hardships endured by the Kashmiri people while reflecting their resilience and unwavering determination against Indian occupation. The event gathered members of the Pakistani community, Azerbaijani intelligentsia, and students.
