Baku: The opening ceremony of the 1st Kurultai of Composers of Turkic World took place at the Union of Azerbaijani Composers, marking a significant event in the framework of the 18th Uzeyir Hajibeyli International Music Festival. This event was a collaborative effort by the Heydar Aliyev Foundation and the Ministry of Culture.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, the ceremony was organized in partnership with the Ministry of Culture and the International Turkic Culture and Heritage Foundation, alongside the ICESCO Baku Regional Office, Union of Azerbaijani Composers, and the Azerbaijan National Conservatory. During the event, Deputy Minister of Culture Murad Huseynov highlighted that this congress serves as a platform for international cooperation, fostering creative potential, supporting young composers, and promoting the rich musical heritage of the Turkic world.

Aktoty Raimkulova, President of the International Turkic Culture and Heritage Foundation, expressed their aim to create a dynamic musical space. She noted that this initiative is intended to serve as a foundation for new compositions, professional collaborations, and international cultural dialogue.

Abdulhakeem Fahad Alsenan, Director of the Regional Office of ICESCO, stressed the strong cooperation between ICESCO and Azerbaijan. He pointed out that the Baku Office plays a pivotal role in enhancing this collaboration.

Firangiz Alizadeh, Chairperson of the Union of Azerbaijani Composers and People's Artist, spoke about the profound musical connections among the countries of the Turkic world, highlighting the shared cultural heritage and its influence on contemporary compositions.
