Baku: The opening ceremony of the 2nd Forum of Azerbaijani Judges was held in the city, marking a significant event for the nation's judiciary. The ceremony commenced with the National Anthem, setting the tone for the discussions and recognitions that followed.
According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, Ramiz Rzayev, Chairman of the Union of Azerbaijani Judges, addressed the forum, highlighting the event's alignment with an important phase for the Azerbaijani judicial system. Inam Karimov, Chief Justice of the Supreme Court and Chairman of the Judicial-Legal Council, noted the productivity and success of the judiciary in 2025. Farhad Abdullayev, Chairman of the Constitutional Court, emphasized the importance of constitutional interpretation in maintaining legal certainty and the rule of law.
The ceremony concluded with awards being presented to a group of judges for their long-term effective service and the stability of their court decisions. The forum, attended by about 600 judges and members of the Judicial-Legal Council, aims to inform the legal community and the broader public about ongoing judicial and legal reforms in the country.
