Baku—A special polling station was set up at the Kazakh Embassy in Baku today, allowing Kazakh nationals residing or visiting Azerbaijan to participate in Kazakhstan’s referendum on the construction of a nuclear power plant.

According to Trend News Agency, referring to information from the Kazakh Embassy, Polling Station No. 394, located at 14 N. Rafiyev Street, opened its doors at 07:00 (GMT+4) and will continue to welcome voters until 20:00 (GMT+4). The referendum, which poses a critical decision on the future of energy in Kazakhstan, has mobilized Kazakh citizens internationally to cast their votes.

Eligibility to vote extends to all Kazakh citizens aged 18 and above who are either permanent residents or temporary visitors in Azerbaijan. Currently, there are approximately 180 registered voters from Kazakhstan in Azerbaijan, all of whom have the opportunity today to voice their opinion on this significant issue.
