Baku: Passenger transportation services by tram in Baku will be organized by 'Baku Metro' CJSC. This development comes following a decree by President Ilham Aliyev.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the decree titled 'On the reorganization of 'Baku Metro' Closed Joint-Stock Company and amendments to certain decrees and orders of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan in connection with this, as well as the repeal of certain orders' lays the groundwork for this new operation. This move aims to streamline and enhance the public transportation infrastructure in Baku.
