Baku Metro Operations Restored After Temporary Disruption

Baku: Baku Metro operations have been restored, Baku Metro CJSC reported to APA-Economics. Full train movement has been ensured across the lines while maintaining intervals between trains.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the disruption was initially reported at around 12:10, when a malfunction occurred in the supply of high voltage to the contact rail between the 'Ulduz-Narimanov' section. Temporary restrictions were imposed on passenger entry at all stations of the Baku Metro as a precautionary measure.

Efforts to address the issue were immediate. Baku Metro CJSC confirmed that operational measures were being taken to eliminate the malfunction in the high voltage supply. Passengers who were stuck in the tunnel between the 'Gara Garayev-Narimanov' section were safely evacuated, and there was no threat to the lives of metro staff or passengers.

By 13:06, Baku Metro CJSC informed that the metro's operations were expected to be restored within the hour. The situation was resolved by 15:00, ensuring the resumption of services and the safety of all involved.
