Baku Readies for Formula 1 Azerbaijan Grand Prix with New Uniform and Accreditation Center

BAKU — The Baku City Circuit Company has initiated operations at the new Uniform and Accreditation Center in preparation for the upcoming 2024 Formula 1 Azerbaijan Grand Prix. This center is set to play a pivotal role in the seamless organization of the event, providing essential services to staff and volunteers.

According to Trend News Agency, the center began functioning in Baku, marking a critical phase in the lead-up to the Grand Prix, which is expected to draw significant international attention. This facility is responsible for issuing approximately 28,000 accreditation cards and uniforms to employees, volunteers, marshals, security officers, and representatives of contractor companies involved in the event.

The center has been active since August 19, with over 100 volunteers already contributing to various operational tasks such as registration, accreditation issuance, and uniform distribution. This year’s event saw a record number of volunteer applications, with 16,000 candidates applying for roles and about 2,000 selected to assist in organizing the competitions.

The Formula 1 Azerbaijan Grand Prix, set to occur in Baku for the eighth time, will take place from September 13-15, 2024, promising another thrilling chapter in the city’s growing reputation as a premier host of international motorsport events.
