Baku: Elchin Babayev, Rector of Baku State University (BSU), met with Aktoty Raimkulova, President of the Turkic Culture and Heritage Foundation, to discuss cooperation in science, education, and cultural preservation. During the meeting, Rector Elchin Babayev highlighted BSU's ongoing collaboration with Turkic-speaking nations, noting the active roles of the university's Departments of Turkology and Turkic Philology. He also emphasized the activity of the Center for Cultural Heritage Research at BSU, which focuses on the scientific study and promotion of Azerbaijan's historical monuments and architectural heritage.
According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, the rector emphasized the necessity of protecting the rich cultural heritage of the Turkic world for future generations, pointing to the strong potential for joint research projects, academic publications, and international conferences. Raimkulova stressed the importance of joint scientific initiatives aimed at preserving shared values of Turkic peoples. She expressed the Foundation's strong interest in expanding its partnership with BSU through new collaborative projects.
The visit concluded with Raimkulova donating a collection of the Foundation's publications as a gift to the BSU Scientific Library.
