Baku: The International Air Transport Association (IATA) Aviation Energy Forum is set to take place in Baku in 2025, as announced by Samir Rzayev, President of Azerbaijan Airlines (AZAL), on his Facebook page, APA reports. This significant event will focus on critical industry priorities, including enhancing aviation efficiency, fostering innovation, and exchanging ideas to achieve the Net Zero Emissions target by 2050.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the forum, backed by AZAL, is scheduled from May 13-15, 2025. It is expected to attract representatives from over 50 countries, more than 60 airlines, and over 550 participants. The forum aims to facilitate discussions on how the aviation industry can address its current challenges and future directions.
Rzayev highlighted that hosting the Aviation Energy Forum is an opportunity for Azerbaijan and AZAL to contribute to the global aviation agenda. The event will serve as a platform for expanding international partnerships and reinforcing Azerbaijan’s position as a regional aviation hub.
