Baku: Head of the “Election Observation” Alliance, Mammad Mammadzade, also known as Mammad Alpay, has been arrested alongside Bashir Suleymanli, APA reports. A presentation was submitted to the court by the investigative body, leading to the arrests.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the Binagadi District Court granted the presentation, resulting in Mammad Mammadzade being sentenced to 3 months and 28 days in pre-trial detention. The charges against him include Articles 313, 193-1.3.2, and 308.2 of the Criminal Code. These relate to official fraud, the legalization of funds or other property obtained by crime in large amounts, and the abuse of official authority.
