Baku: Galatasaray defeated Kocaelispor 1-0 in a home match of the fifth round of the Turkish football championship, APA reports. Abdlkerim Bardakci scored in the 71st minute after a pass from Russian midfielder Alexei Batrakov, marking his first goal contribution for Galatasaray.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, Batrakov entered the field in the 59th minute, making this his fourth appearance for the Turkish team since joining on August 20. Before his move to Galatasaray, Batrakov played for Moscow's Lokomotiv.

Galatasaray now leads the Turkish league table with 13 points after five rounds. The team's next match is scheduled to be an away game against Trabzonspor on September 19.
