According to Azeri-Press News Agency, Nathaniel Brown scored the first goal for Bayern in the 28th minute, followed by Michael Oliseh's goal in the first-half stoppage time. Borussia Dortmund's Fabio Silva scored in the 75th minute, but it was not enough to secure a win for his team. The match saw Borussia Dortmund's Ramy Bensebaini receive a red card in the 90th minute, reducing them to ten men.

This victory further solidifies Bayern's position as the team with the most German Super Cup wins, while Borussia Dortmund remains with six trophies. Last season, Bayern Munich clinched both the German championship and the German Cup titles. Borussia Dortmund earned their spot to host the Super Cup by finishing as runners-up in the German league.

Looking ahead, Bayern Munich is set to face Stuttgart in their opening match of the upcoming German championship on August 28. Meanwhile, Borussia Dortmund will host Hamburg at home on August 29.
