The match saw Borussia Dortmund's Ramy Bensebaini receive a red card in the 90th minute, reducing them to ten men.
This victory further solidifies Bayern's position as the team with the most German Super Cup wins, while Borussia Dortmund remains with six trophies. Last season, Bayern Munich clinched both the German championship and the German Cup titles. Borussia Dortmund earned their spot to host the Super Cup by finishing as runners-up in the German league.
