Baku: Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov has emphasized the potential for Azerbaijan and Jordan to collaboratively access neighboring regions by leveraging their existing capabilities. This statement was made during a joint press conference with Ayman Al Safadi, the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, Minister Bayramov noted Jordan's significant interest in regions such as Central Asia, highlighting the recent visit of his Jordanian counterpart to Uzbekistan prior to arriving in Azerbaijan. He emphasized Azerbaijan's robust relationships with Central Asian countries and pointed out the growing importance of the Middle Corridor in transportation. Additionally, he mentioned the Alat Free Economic Zone as a strategic gateway to Central Asia, which could be enticing for Jordanian investors, and discussed Azerbaijan's ongoing major projects aimed at transporting energy resources from the Caspian basin to global markets.

Minister Bayramov also addressed the evolving regional dynamics in the Middle East, noting that countries in the region are developing new routes and projects, particularly in the Jordan-Trkiye direction. He articulated the vast potential for collaborative projects between Jordan, Azerbaijan, and Trkiye, indicating that discussions are already in progress to explore these opportunities further.
