BAKU — Igor Karpenko, Chairman of the Central Election Commission of Belarus, expressed a positive outlook on the atmosphere of Azerbaijan’s parliamentary elections during his meeting with Azerbaijani counterpart Mazahir Panahov.
According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, During the discussions, Panahov shared that the elections are being monitored by 598 international observers and over 112,000 domestic observers, with webcams installed at 1,000 polling stations to ensure transparency. He also noted the setup of 6,478 polling stations, including temporary ones, to accommodate all 6,421,960 eligible voters. Karpenko commended the organization of the elections and the high spirits among voters, highlighting the absence of any significant issues at the polling stations he visited.
