Baku: Belarusian Ambassador to Azerbaijan Dmitry Pinevich underscored the strategic importance of developing transport and logistics connections between Belarus and Azerbaijan during an international roundtable event titled 'Azerbaijan as a Logistics Hub of Eurasia: Aligning the Interests of the EAEU and the South Caucasus' held in Baku. The ambassador highlighted Azerbaijan's pivotal role as a transport and logistics hub within the Eurasian region.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, Ambassador Pinevich emphasized that the International North-South Transport Corridor offers vast prospects for regional cooperation. He noted that for Belarus, collaboration with Azerbaijan in transport and logistics holds significant importance. He pointed out that the North-South Transport Corridor, along with the Belarus-Azerbaijan-Iran route, presents a promising platform for future cooperation.

The ambassador also mentioned that the development of railway infrastructure and joint manufacturing projects could open new avenues for both countries. He elaborated on the potential for joint production of railcars and other railway equipment, as well as the advancement of transport infrastructure as key areas for future collaboration.

Pinevich further suggested that the Belarus-Azerbaijan-Iran route, along with transport links connecting Russia, Turkey, and other nations, could evolve into substantial economic projects. He particularly highlighted the critical role of enhancing railway infrastructure, boosting cargo transportation, and executing joint manufacturing initiatives.

In closing, the ambassador stressed that reinforcing transport and communication links is crucial for fostering deeper economic integration across the Eurasian region.
